Detects surface discontinuities and indications in ferrous materials. An electric yoke (hand held) or bench unit is used. Black ink on a white background or fluorescent ink with a UV light can be used.

A professional family service in non destructive testing
At RINDT LTD, we're proud to offer a professional family service in non destructive testing. Whether you work with ferrous or non ferrous metals, we can help with your inspection requirements. Based in Rugby, we offer a personalised inspection and testing service.
We offer our on and off site inspection services in and around Warwickshire and surrounding areas, and are happy to work throughout the UK when required. We supply reports for all our work.
While most of our work is carried out on site, in your work place, we do test smaller components in our workshop.

We provide the following on and off site inspection services
Dye penetrant inspection
Detects surface breaking defects in ferrous and non ferrous materials. Red solvent or water washable dye, or fluorescent dye with a UV lamp, can be used.
Visual inspection
Visual inspection of welded joints, carried out to customer and national specifications.
Ultrasonic inspection
Detects imperfections inside a material or can be used for thickness gauging. It can be used to test welds, bars, castings, forgings etc.
Thickness surveys
Ultrasonic wall thickness surveys of vessels, pipework and structures, recorded and reported point by point.
